Remove yellow sun cream stains from clothing instantly with ‘amazing’ item

As temperatures soar and we flock to parks, gardens, or jet off on sunny getaways, it’s crucial to shield ourselves from the sun with sun cream, also known as sunscreen or SPF (sun protection factor).

Sun cream is vital for protecting against harmful UV rays, but it can be frustrating when it leaves yellow stains on our cherished garments. The culprit behind these unsightly marks is often avobenzone, a chemical that absorbs UV light.

These stains, a mix of avobenzone with water or sweat, can be stubborn to remove. But fear not, as cleaning enthusiasts have discovered a simple yet ‘amazing’ solution to banish them.

A concerned individual grappling with stained white swim trunks sought advice in the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group. “What can I use to get sun cream out of white swim trunks,” they enquired anxiously.

Resourceful members of the group quickly responded with their tried-and-tested solutions. One person revealed an ‘amazing’ find for tackling this issue – Ace Ultra for Whites.

This wonder product is available for just £3 on the Ace website, but you can also find it at local supermarkets or online via Amazon. It boasts the ability to “remove tough stains and restore your clothes back to brilliant white”.

The product boasts features such as eliminating “tough, dried on laundry stains”, “restoring and brightening whites” and “protecting fibres”. Simply use your regular washing detergent and add Ace into the drawer marked with the CL symbol, up to the indicated level.

If your washing machine lacks this symbol, you can pour it into the softener compartment, provided you’re not already using a softener. If you are, initiate your pre-wash cycle and “while the water is running pour in 1 1/2 cups of Ace”.

For sun cream stains on coloured garments, there’s also Ace Ultra for Colours.

Others offered alternative methods for stain removal. One individual shared: “I had the same problem recently. Used Fairy Liquid and Elbow Grease. Came out good as new,” Another suggested: “Spray with Elbow grease to soak for a while. Then I soaked in the wink with Napisan. At first the marks turned reddish, but after soaking and scrubbing they did finally come out”.
